Ken's story

Ken obtained an Honours degree in Economics from the University of Edinburgh, and began work with Scottish Provident Insurance in St Andrew's Square, before learning the ropes of branch banking and mortgage lending in a very busy Lerwick office.

He then lived in Inverness until 2008, working at Clydesdale Bank Longman Road and Bank of Scotland business banking before heading south to Edinburgh, Liverpool and Manchester in various client-facing corporate roles with The Co-operative Bank.

In 2018 Ken returned to the Highlands with his family to join the ranks of the self-employed to set up Kintail Finance from offices in the centre of Inverness.

Kintail Finance now provides specialist services to small businesses and private clients across the Highlands and the UK.

Kintail is based on traditional values, where a face to face client relationship remains highly valued.
